Here’s a list of the typical formal groups I often shoot on wedding days. Whilst I’m sure they are important to you, please remember that too many groups can easily occupy your drinks reception. Have the groups that are meaningful to you!
Larger Groups
- Everyone (all guests)
- All the friends
- All the Brides family
- All the Grooms family
Wedding Party
- Bride with Bridesmaids
- Wedding Party (traditionally includes the Bride & Groom, Best Man, Ushers, Bridesmaids, Flower Girls, Page Boys & Father of Bride)
- Groom & Best Man
- Groom with Groomsmen
Smaller Groups
- Grooms Parents
- Grooms Parents with Brother & Sister
- Grooms Parents with Brother & Sister plus their partners/families
- Bride & Groom and their parents together
- Brides Parents
- Brides Parents with Brother & Sister
- Brides Parents with Brother & Sister plus their partners/families
- Grandparents (you might also want to consider a generation shot, including your parents)
